Five hours in the make-up chair, and the last scene was shot in 5 mins, we did the scene 3 times. I thought it could have been a lot better, special thanks to Dinah Washington for bailing me out.
All and all, great job for a group of 10th graders.
Thanks Marlyn, for doing one hell of a make-up job for the 2 different shoots. Thanks Jack, both Marks, David and all the students that were involved!!!

The acoustic version of "Trailblazer"
(if you listen you can hear me breathing (LOL),
I laid down the guitar over a pre-existing bass ,drum machine and keyboard track, but I had the record volume too loud).

Off Track Better
After Jimmy's (Miles Del-Ray) father is
killed in Vietnam, his mother Petrina Ivanovich,
is struck with the stark reality that she will have
to raise her son, alone. Overwhelmed by this
proposition, she abandons him to be raised
by his uncle, Nick Petricelli, a charismatic gambler
and aging playboy.
Our story picks up 25 years later, in the present day.
Jimmy is living life in the fast lane, heavy metal,
fast women, and a life of petty crime.
Nick at 69, is living life like he's 29, hammer down,
strictly for the rush of the action, with a glimmer of hope
that he'll get lucky, lucky enough to win the big enchilada.
But after he spirals into heavy debt to russian king-pin
Dimitri Stravinsky, the nephew and uncle are faced with
the grim reality, that their addictions have caught up with them
in the rear view. Will they get on the straight and semi-narrow?
Or will they each remain an "Off Track Better" for life?
"I have read both "Off Track Better" and "Maps to the Stars' Homes"
scripts and they are fantastic !!!
It would be an honor to have a part in either one of these projects."

Joe Stump Live From the Sky Guitar Academy
August 25th 2007
Partial footage of Joe Stump at Uli Jon Roth and friends concert Aug.25th 2007 in Hollywood. I was smoking a joint outside, when I heard the walls shaking, so I ran in and caught the last of this song, my tape finished exactly when he was done playing.
What a concert !!!!! Check back for Paul Gilbert playing Hendrix with Uli, as well as George Bellas and Mark Boals...
A very special thanks goes out to Sky Guitar Academy (Hollywood) for allowing me to post the footage I captured.
We shot his footage 3 summers ago, and I finally cut a little taste of what we filmed. Wer'e gonna get back out there and film a couple of more scenes, with an explosive ending.
There were no animals harmed during the making of this film.

Miles Plays "Trailblazer" @ Spike Hill in Williamsburg
Wed May 19th, 2010 I played a backing track that has a beat w my bass line. Thanks to J.Glazer for producing my music, and also for his keyboard work. I've got some drummer's lined up for next weeks show, so hopefully my playing will be a little tighter. I couldn't hear the backing track and It messed up my timing, (which also made this shit way too treble-ly) plus I only warmed up for about 3 minutes, but I know what you're thinkin: excuses are like assholes, everybody's got one and they all stink. I got rollin a little at the 6 minute mark.
